About Us

I grew up in Ambridge when Ambridge was a booming steel town. It had four movie theatres, eight elementary schools, several high-end clothing shops, including one with an elevator, and a "millenary" (hat) shop, to name a few. In addition, it had a public swimming pool that accommodated hundreds of people every summer day.

After raising my family there, I enrolled in LaRoche College where I received a B.A. in Interior DEsign. A few years later, I also became a licensed Real Estate Agent.

While at LaRoche, I took my first trip to Europe. It was on that trip that I fell in love with the art and architechture as well as the quaint family owned businesses like the ones I remembered from my childhood. It became my heart's desire to open a small business, not only for my family but also for the people of Ambridge. So when I listed a 50 year old shoe repair shop in a 100 year old building on the corner of the best intersection on town, I saw the opportunity to make my dream become a reality.

In July 2007, I opened Caffe 501, an upscale coffee shop with an Italian flair. It was my hope ~ if Caffe 501 became successful, that others would share the vision, invest in, and help restore Ambridge to the vibrant town it once was.
